Gaming - AC:Odyssey
Assassin's Creed Odyssey
...takes the franchise into full RPG territory, blending Greek history, mythology, and open-world exploration. With over 300 hours in it, my impression is that it’s a massive game with endless quests, a deep progression system, and a choice-driven narrative.

What Stood Out
✔ Ancient Greece Feels Alive – The world is beautifully designed, from bustling cities to peaceful islands.
✔ Choice-Based Storytelling – Conversations and decisions impact the game, adding a level of replayability.
✔ Naval Combat Returns – Sailing and ship battles bring back a classic Assassin’s Creed feature.
✔ Combat is Fast & Fluid – More dynamic than Origins, with special abilities adding variety.
✔ Loving Pets - While prone to die too fast in combat I loved the pet concept and always go back to the Island south of Piraeus to tame my Lion.
What Didn’t Work for Me
❌ Too Big? – The world is impressive but sometimes feels overwhelming and padded with unnecessary grind.
❌ Not Really an Assassin’s Creed Game – More of a Greek warrior simulator than a stealth-based experience.
❌ RNG Loot & Level Gating – Loot-based progression sometimes felt artificial, forcing unnecessary grinding.
Final Thoughts
While AC: Odyssey is a visually stunning and engaging open-world RPG, its sheer size and RPG mechanics can be both a strength and a weakness. It’s great for those who love open-world adventures but might feel disconnected from traditional Assassin’s Creed roots.
