Who I Am

I am an IT professional based in Sweden with a background in support, system administration, and infrastructure.

I began my IT career in 2000 and have since worked in various roles, from frontline troubleshooting to backend systems management. Over the years, I’ve developed a pragmatic, analytical, and often skeptical perspective on how IT actually works—not just how it’s supposed to function in theory.

This site is a collection of observations, reflections, and occasional rants on IT, technology, and the ongoing struggle to keep systems running. Some articles explore the realities of IT support, while others focus on hardware, gaming, and technical experiments. I write as both an insider and an observer—balancing humor with hard truths.

My Perspective

I believe in processes—but only when they are well-documented and actually followed. A process is only as strong as its weakest link, and in IT, that weak link is often poor documentation, lost knowledge, or unrealistic expectations. Systems and procedures should exist to make work easier, but when they are ignored, misunderstood, or overcomplicated, they become part of the problem rather than the solution.

At the same time, I take a realist approach. Systems fail, documentation gets ignored, and support teams remain underfunded—yet everything somehow stays online. I don’t believe in blindly following best practices; I believe in what actually works. If there’s a smarter, more efficient way to do something, I’ll find it. If something is broken, I’ll either fix it or explain why it’s broken in the first place.

Why This Site Exists

Conram.it is where I share insights, experiences, and the occasional deep dive into IT or gaming. It’s not a helpdesk, a business venture, or a corporate blog—just a space for thoughts that don’t fit neatly into a ticketing system. If you find something useful here, great. If not, at least you’ll get a glimpse into the reality of IT from someone who has been in the field long enough to recognize the repeating patterns.

Origin of "CONRAM"

The name CONRAM was established in 2000 in connection with the founding of my company. It is derived from a combination of elements: “CON” from consulting and “RAM” from my initials at the time (R.A.M.), with an additional link to my Spanish heritage through the surname Ainz, which has origins from Galicia.

In subsequent years, I registered several domains under this name. The primary domain in use today is conram.it — where “.it” does not really refer to Italy, but to Information Technology. Complementary domains such as conram.com and conram.se remain under my ownership.

Why English?

Although I live and work in Sweden, I write in English by choice. It is the common language of technology, politics, and international discussion, and it makes my writing accessible to a broader audience. It also helps me maintain consistency across different projects and platforms.

Writing and AI

All content on this site is written by me, based on my own experiences and reasoning. Since 2024, I’ve occasionally used AI (ChatGPT) for proofreading, structural refinement, layout adjustments, and image generation. AI also assists in locating and cross-referencing sources, but all references are manually verified for accuracy before inclusion.

The final content always reflects my own thoughts, conclusions, and editorial decisions.
